Really enjoyed our meal. Delicious healthy and fresh meals. I had the Tex-Mex wrap and my wife had the Tuscan Salad. We also tried the desserts. The chocolate smoothie was great and my wife enjoyed the yogurt parfait. Kids enjoyed the gourmet ice pops.

The quality of the food was excellent. I had a Caprese wrap with the soup of the day which was vegetable soup. Nice people with good food. It's not inexpensive but the quality merited the price.

Food is wonderful. Fresh and use some of the best ingredients out there. Menu is inspired with great combinations. You will pay a little more but well worth it. Reason it's not 5 star is service. She is shorthanded and could use at least one more person to run register. As she becomes more popular and when it's season she will definitely need the help.

A friend & I stumbled onto Wild Roots after riding the nearby ferris wheel and seeing a sign that said 'mindful eating'; remember we're in pensacola. wow, what a great find! had such an enjoyable lunch. I had a made to order curried egg salad with berries & nuts, then we finished off with fresh home made popsicles. they have vegan food, but also other choices - to me it was just really fresh and really good. Lynn, the owner, was so friendly. not sure when I'm going back to pensacola, but when I do, I'll be at Whild Roots each day I'm in town. tell your friends - this place is great.

Really good, healthy food here! Lots of interesting choices and always fresh. Not only great for vegans but for everyone! I definitely recommend!

Outstanding, fresh, delicious popsicles and smoothies made from....FOOD! No Red 20 or Blue 10 here. Just strawberries and blueberries, I've, and organic milk in my smoothie! Four in our party got popsicles-all excellent. One in our party had espresso, which was also delicious. Great addition to the beach! So nice to have a non fried option.

Polite staff, clean store and amazing variety of Popsicles! What more could one ask for after a hot day on the beach!!

So glad I found this place while vacationing in Pensacola! I went twice in the 2.5 days I was there. The Bostonian and Floridian were amazing wraps! Don't forget to try the pops and soft serve that you customize yourself! Wish this place existed in my hometown!

I have to give them 5 stars. The care with selecting organic ingredients; the commitment to healthy vegan options; the true understanding of juicing and organic smoothies (no frozen pasteurized sugar smoothies, but real Vitamix blended greens, veggies and fruits); are all quite unique to Pensacola Beach and Gulf Breeze. The organic juiced frozen popsicles don't suck either. The owner is well versed and a source of healthy eating knowledge. Don't be afraid to ask.

VEGAN! This place is the best! Great coffee, wraps, smoothies, and no GMO. Everything in Wild Roots supports a healthy lifestyle. Thank you for a great couple days of healthy living while I was visiting Pensacola.

A sweet little cafe near the boardwalk. Great menu. We had dessert but I would love to come back for a full meal. Clean environment. Friendly staff. Love the little magnetic games at the counter. Glad to see such healthy options for lunch and dessert!

Amazing. I registered for Yelp primarily for this review. The menu is extremely well thought with perfect selections for a wide variety of tastes. The owner should be proud of her business. Fantastic to go on vacation & either begin or continue your journey with healthy living.

Excellent food. Knowledgeable owner who is into this way of eating herself. We had the chicken wraps and they were delicious. We bought groceries to take back to the condo. They carry certified organic eggs which is the only kind we'll eat. The owner cares a LOT about food and loves to talk/teach it. We learned a lot while we were eating our wraps.

I hate to give a less than stellar review of this place given that it is one of the few healthy options near Pensacola Beach, but I was very underwhelmed by my two experiences here. First, the sandwiches start at $11.50 (which if you include state and island tax) comes out to exactly $12.99. That is entirely too much for a sandwich. I do have to blast the island authority also for helping to make an expensive lunch even more unaffordable. If you want one of the more premium sandwiches, it will likely run you into the $15 range. Also keep in mind that the sandwiches are not very large -- so it makes the price even more ridiculous. Second, the ingredients seem fresh and natural, but the two combinations I have tried have led to a very bland flavor and I did not even want to finish either one of them. Perhaps a better use of spreads would lead to a tastier result. Bottom line, I give this place a lot of credit for trying and for aiming to be healthy, but the execution is just not there. I hope they can see to lowering the pricing, especially during the winter season when there are mostly locals around. I have not tried the beach pops so I can't comment on those; but they look like they are worth trying.

A truthfully awesome spot to eat healthy, and that is not easy to find in that area. The ingredients used are super fresh, and the food our party had on the two occasions we were there was truly yummy. Who said healthy can't be delicious? Anybody looking for a below $10 dollar meal combo with fried stuff will be disappointed, but hey there is enough of that stuff out there already. If you are at Pensacola beach, and feel like a fresh sandwich I truly advise you to go there. Unfortunately I have never tried their sweets personally, but I have been told they are really good too! Some locals just come there to grab a sweet bite on the go. I can only suggest you try it out yourself.

My first 5 star review, Wild Roots is fantastic! Lynn has cultivated a healthful, delicious, and inspired menu packed with vegan, paleo, or just whole foods options. I chose the Capri Tray, a take on the personal pizza topped with arugula, eggplant jerky (a surprisingly delicious treat), fresh and sun-dried tomatoes and topped with almond(?) oil. There is a large variety of vegan wines available by the glass or bottle & an onsite soft serve bar. My husband and I will most definitely be back soon.

I will not lie, I thought this was just going to be a quick refreshing popsicle snack and that was it. I was wrong. it was a great snack, seemed healthy too. They have a good amount of options to choose from. I was a bit upset that they ran out of the flavor i really wanted but what can you do. I believe the pops had fresh fruit to it too. It was a great taste! One thing i wish about this place is that it was open a little later.

What a find!! This place is a really nice, healthy alternative to all of the fried seafood tourist restaurants nearby. I'm a pescatarian and my husband has numerous food allergies. Our menu options are normally quite limited. We had a hard time ordering here because there were so many good options! We tried a couple items and they were all great. The service was a little slow for a cafe, but all in all it's a great little place and we will be back!

This is my first visit to a vegan/vegetarian/organic restaurant in Pcola. This place is so cute and clean and has everything organic which i love! I took my family here, my two kids and my hubby who is a proud carnivore, and he loved his meal as well as the kids!! I was so happy to see my family enjoy healthy, unprocessed, unfried food for once! The prices are a little on the expensive side, but I feel its worth it since everything is organic. I do plan on visiting this place often this summer with my kids! I am in love with the homemade desserts!! So delish and GF as well!!! If you are in the area, please stop by!! They are worth the wait and the price! Plus being on Pensacola Beach can't be beat!!!

VEGANS REJOICE! This place is a GEM surrounded by a sea of junk food, chain fast foods, and overpriced restaurants! As frequent road trippers, we've learned to carry most of our foods with us in a large cooler. It is nice, however, to find a good restaurant to go to when you're on vacation. All organic, salads, wraps, pizzetas, vegan desserts, and a small market with familiar staples and goodies such as Zevia colas! Food was delicious!

  • Crystal S.

Going to give their brownies best in show. Love that you can get fresh fruit and healthy fare a short walk from out hotel. I'd eat all my meals here while at the beach

This place has a high rating, but I'm not sure how... I'm all for paying for quality food, but when a quick lunch boasts a higher price tag than a full dinner at a nice restaurant, you really have to question some things. 1. 2 People work here. 1 for the savory side of the business, 1 for the sweet - ice cream parlor/bakery area. This translates to very slow service for any foods that require preparation. 2. The food lacks flavor. Would suggest perhaps adding something with some spice or herbs. Healthy food does not have to be bland. 3. Service. We were not charged upon ordering our food (due to server/chef/order taker being the same person) - we could have left the restaurant without paying seeing as they were so overwhelmed. 4. $15 for a "pizetta" - aka crispy crust (brown rice), chicken, fresh pineapple, smear of sauce, cheese that was super over-cooked. $3 for a Steaz tea. Tip. = ~$25 per person. To feel like you just had a snack for $25 is a huge disappointment. 5. Salads seem to be a generous size and a better value. If you're getting one of those, be sure to either get dressing on the side or specific that you want a lighter pour -- my sister's salad was drenched in dressing... Overall, I was pleased with the options available, but the serious disappointment in pretty much every other aspect leads me to never want to come back. You'd be better to go to Publix and get a basket of groceries to fix your own.

I rarely give out low reviews, but we were very disappointed in the meat loaf and province stir fry. The meat loaf was spicy, the veggies with the meat loaf were the best part of the meal. The stir fry was not good at all, we couldn't eat it Food was pricey as well. Paid $35 for those 2 plates

Great place for organic an clean eating. Smoothies are good. I got the amino blast with chia seeds. I also got their Venetian creation on a coconut wrap. It was pretty good.

Outstanding food and customer service. Your must try the roasted garlic hummus!! If you need GF options this is the place to go!

Nice to find a healthy option among all the greasy fried island food. It was a nice change to have a salad for lunch before hitting the beach and not feeling bloated. I have not tried anything but the salad here and it was fresh and delicious .

This place is a beacon for vegans and those people with gluten allergies. It's locate on the beach across the street from the Hilton. We stopped in for lunch on a rainy beach day. The owner and her chef, Lisa were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our food very much. We tried the kobe sushi with quinoa and mushroom. It was so amazing and so hard to tell it wasn't really fish! We also had a gluten free brownie and it was to die for delicious. It was very moist and had such great chocolate flavor. This place is definitely doing something great for those who care about what they put in their bodies. I would eat here all the time if I lived in Pensacola. Great place!

Healthy and delicious real food, so nice to experience a cafe in the south that doesn't fry their whole menu!

Organic, gluten free friendly, and yummy pops in Pensacola. It's pretty much in a touristy part of the strip but worth a try. They also sell organic eats right next door and their decor is very modern and bright, perfect on a sunny beach day.

  • Trish B.

Absolutely wonderful. Healthy food, organic and gluten free snacks. Very helpful staff. They also have a prepared food section where you can buy refrigerated soups and snacks. Had the mango pop and a personal pizza. Definitely recommend this place!

They is something for everyone here. Kids to adults, espresso to healthy popsicles. I had the pb wrap, quesdilla, country panini, fruit bowl with the fruit i picked over the course of a week. Highly recommended. I usually don't write reviews, but this gem of a place was well worth it.

  • Alex M.

Delicious breakfast paninis and the beach pops were fantastic too. Usually we resign to the fact that we have to eat junk all vacation. It's nice to have a healthy option on the island.

My Medina Pizzette was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Brown rice tortilla, green apple, balsamic vinegar- heaven. They have a lot of great super healthy things to eat when you want a break from deep fried seafood. Great gluten free and raw desserts in the bakery. Smoothies and everything is nonGMO. Highly recommend.

I really like this place. It is nice to have healthy options to eat while on the road. I've been here several times before and it has always been good. I had the Romano salad tonight and it was quite tasty, especially the garlic infused olive oil. Bought a Vermonter on a paleo wrap for tomorrow's lunch.

I got the quesadilla and it was good. Food is equivalent to what I would cook at home, which makes it a good option when traveling or in a pinch on that side of town. The food sat well and was a great portion size leaving me full, but not uncomfortable. The staff couldn't tell me much about the menu, but if you know what you want- this is a great place!

I wanted to leave a great review with my fellow yelps, but I just can't. Here's why: I got the Yellow Smoothie $7- It wasn't very good. Sour, bitter. I asked them to sweeten it and they added some honey for me. It still wasn't palatable. Coffee 2.59 FYi- make sure you get the small rather than the medium. They use the same size cup and claim that they add more to the larger cup but we didn't notice that. What I didn't like about the coffee was that it was weak. Your basic cup of joe needs to be better than that. Latte 2.59- The latte wasn't bad at all. I just wish I had liked everything else we ordered. I got the raspberry coconut cookie bar $3.50. It was dry and ok. I didn't like it but my sister did. I also got a blueberry muffin top $3.50 I liked it but my sister didn't. It was gluten free and it had big blueberries in it. Their pastries are hit or miss. Overall I didn't like their drinks and their pastries weren't the best. I paid $15 for my smoothie and 2 pastries. I don't mind paying extra for quality food and ingredients but the flavor left much to be desired.

So glad this place was around... visiting Pensacola Beach on a business trip, and ate here for two days straight, almost every meal! Love the big salads, smoothies, and the vegan 'Capri' pizzetta was particularly excellent! Also -- eggplant jerky -- AWESOME! And they sell it by the bag too! Surrounded by fish-fry joints and junk, Wild Roots Organic Foods saved this vegan for a couple days...

Great little place to eat! Good portion sizing and the food tastes amazing. It's great to have an all-natural cafe in the area! A little pricey, but the food is worth it.

This place is an island of healthy food in a sea of deep fried fish chunks! I was staying in Pensacola for work, and feeling pretty unhappy with the food options; a quick yelp search turned up this gem! I actually ate here twice (and my coworker ate here 3 times) during the week we were in Pensacola beach. Between us, we sampled the sandwiches, salads, and flat breads. They were all really good -- the salads, while pricey, are HUGE; the sandwiches are packed with veggies (I had the Mediterranean, which had beets, olives, avocado, carrots... and probably other things I can't remember) and it was amazing. I didn't have a pizza, but my coworker was super happy with hers. Yes, they're pricey, but really it's about the same as every other place in Pensacola beach (except Subway/McDonalds/etc). The ingredients are quality, and everything is made to order. They have food for every dietary restriction out there: vegetarian, paleo, gluten free, non-gmo, organic, and probably some other things I'm forgetting. My only complaint would be that the ordering/paying system is a bit confusing -- you order at the first counter when you come in, but then you pay at a seperate counter.... either right after ordering, or when you finish eating (I guess it depends on how you feel). We were there in the off season, so it was fine, but I could see that turning into a zoo.

  • Julia N.

The food was delicious and fresh but tiny. I used the 10% off and still felt that compared to the amount of food for the price, it wasn't worth it. I'm not a big eater either. My friend and I stopped an hour later and ate again which was kind of hilarious. But the combination of flavors was good. I had the California wrap and my friend had the pizzaletta. He called it a "large cracker with toppings". I don't like eggplant. When I asked if I could sub the eggplant for mushroom the chef just blatantly said no. That was weird. There is also no clear distinction of where to order, when to pay etc. and no one offered any help. I asked but even the answers were reluctant and vague. So customer service was Blah, price was a little high but taste was yay for the short time it lasted.

I eat gluten free so when I see sliders are offered I get excited. Over all it was good. However the meat on the slider was way over cooked for me. Other than that it was delicious. The bread & the sauce were great. I got a side of sweet potatoes. If your not going to season the potato then steaming or boiling may not be the best choice. I would have preferred lightly roasted. The slaw needed more flavor. The cranberries in it were good but it needed more. I like portion controlled meals but there could have been just a little more. I am thankful for places like this, this one just has a little ways to go & it can be great!

Great service, excellent food, locally & sustainably sourced. No GMOs, organic, tons of paleo friendly options. My kids were thrilled to have grain free, dairy free options for dinner AND dessert with a beautiful beach sunset while we were visiting Pensacola from Tampa.

It's a little expensive for the amount of food you get, but the quality makes it worth it. Great options if you're looking for gluten free food.

This place is awesome! My friend and I had wraps the first time we came and smoothies for breakfast the second day. Everything was very fresh and tasty. It's great having healthy options while on vacation!

I'm actually very confused as to why there isn't a line out the door and down the street. This place is amazing. They are a grain-free shop. It will satisfy your paleo/allergy/healthy-lifestyle needs. Replete with organic wines and beers. Delicious desserts. We tried the molten lava, a blueberry buckle cookie, and a peach crumble. They hit a grand slam on each of them. I can't wait to come back when their main food area is open. I think I have found a secret gem in Pensacola.

  • Adam K.

What a fantastic place!! It's so wonderful when on vacation to get away from the junk food traps and find a place like Wild Roots. There are so many plant-focused dishes (I'd say over half of the menu is vegan) and all of them delicious that I don't mind splurging at all! We started off our late lunch with the roasted garlic hummus, whose coarse texture was pleasant and flavor was spot on without being too garlicky. We then split a California wrap, full of sprouts and other great veggies. Guacamole tied the veggies together, though I did slip a bit of hummus in there too! The star of the wrap had to be the eggplant jerky. How in God's name does one make a strip of eggplant look and taste like bacon? I must learn this secret... We also got a pizzetta with "cheese" (probably Daiya), real chicken, and a boatload of dressed greens on top. Not bad at all. The crust consisted of a grain tortilla (one of their many gluten-free items). Not the best "healthy pizza" I've had, but definitely what I wanted at the time. The thin crust has a nice crunch to contrast the greens and gooey cheese. We were getting full, but we couldn't resist the other half of the shop, where smoothies, popsicles, and other confections tempt the passerby. Thanks to the Yelp reviews I'd read, I went for the brownie with vanilla ice cream and my girlfriend went for the Ginger Rabbit Popsicle (carrot and ginger with avocado). She loved the pop; I loved the brownie (I'm still partial to gluten, but they made a nice fudgy brownie without me missing the gluten too much). The vanilla ice cream was KILLER. The young lady who sold us our desserts recommended it as her favorite. The two people on staff were quick in their prep. One had an unchanging deadpan expression as she took our order and prepped our food, while the other was bubbly and eager to please. Prices are totally reasonable. Highly recommended.

Capri pizetta was so good I had a second one. Organic, delicious, creative with great variety and amazing desserts too!! A vegetarian restaurant where meat is an option. Yes, your s.o. can add chicken, shrimp, beef, falafel... They got it all. And did I mention delicious. Oh and it's right on the beach!!! What? Seriously. Well worth the detour off I-10.

This place has everything from salads to a ice cream bar! Perfect place to stop if your getting hungry while hanging out at the beach. They offer something for every diet whether you're a omnivore, paleo, vegetarian, or vegan.

  • Kelly M.

This is my FAVORITE place in Pensacola. Best smoothies anywhere (green and amino blast are my favorites), fabulous homemade Popsicles, and lots of great fresh, raw and/or vegan options. The Capri pizzetta is my personal favorite. I stop here every time we hit Pensacola Beach. Of all the places to eat locally, this is the only one that both kids agree on and my whole family enjoys.

  • Bobby K.

If you're health-conscious or looking for a break from fried seafood, try this place. They have quality fresh veggie and non-veggie ingredients for salads, sandwiches and pizzettas, but they also make smoothies, coffee, espresso, and decadent house made deserts like tortes and cookies. They also have coolers with deli items, kambucha and other drinks and prepared foods to go, as well as wine and a few other items. Today, my wife and I stopped in for a smoothie, but I was hungry so I ordered a Sicilian wrap: ham, genoa salami, prosciutto, pro alone and basil avocado mayo. Awesome really. My wife had a Mediterranean veggie wrap that was also tasty. The people are friendly and helpful, the place is clean and bright so overall a keeper. These aren't issues for me because I think it's worthwhile, but I'll mention that the wraps are $11.50 for not a huge portion. I know it's because these are pricey ingredients but I'd like to save future reviewers the trouble of complaining about price and portion. This is a premium product.

Finally an all organic place to eat! AND gluten free! I'm gluten intolerant & loved the many many options available. Had the Floridian sandwich which was amazing! Guacamole with chili lime chips (gf) was sooooo good.

This place is great! There were a lot of vegan options. Their eggplant jerky was one of the best meat-like foods I've ever had! It was so yummy and the texture was just like jerky. Going back for sure before my vacation is over! They also have gluten free options and fresh produce!

Wild Roots is amazing! It is my new favorite lunch restaurant. It is a nice, clean cafe near the water in Pensacola Beach. Great atmosphere, very friendly and knowledgable staff. I ordered the south westerner sandwich on paleo focaccia.......amazing! I also tried the sweet potato and onion soup (paleo as well) amazing as well! There were so many delicious looking menu items I want to try on my next visit. This place definitely has the largest selection of celiac friendly food I have ever seen. I highly recommend this establishment.

What a great find on vacation! At first I thought it was 2 places, but it's one place- wild roots organic restaurant side and there's the BeachPops side. Great options with 100% organic items, gluten free items and vegan options. The 32 flavors of Beach Pops was great- anyone can find something they like. We had chocolate dipped frozen bananas- they were very delicious. My 1 year old couldn't get enough of the banana- the owner even offered a small portion of puréed banana! There were so many items on the menus it was hard to decide on my sweet treat! Breakfast will be my next meal here!

I hate to be one of the first people to give this place less than five stars, I really do. Partially because I love the concept and I met the owner today and she is just nicer than nice. When you walk in, part of the store is for regular food and the other side is for desserts. I ordered from both sides, all to go. It took about 15 mins to get everything b/c the guy helping with the food seemed overwhelmed (and slow). I was surprised how expensive everything was. Yeah, I get that it's at the beach, but still. This is Pensacola folks. I paid over $13 for a caprese salad that had about three slices of mozzarella and the equivalent of half a tomato. The rest of the bowl was just spinach. Seriously? I ordered a salad, not a bowl of spinach! I ordered guac that was plain beyond belief, it was just mashed avocado with some lime. And the guy forget to put my tortilla chips in, thanks a lot. I honestly haven't tried the pot pie but it was the liquid side of the pot pie w/ no crust (??). I also haven't tried the soup. But I did try three desserts, an almond cookie, a choc chunk cookie, and carrot cake. The first one was delicious, the other two were thrown away b/c they were so...dry and grainy tasty. In defense, I haven't really had lots of gluten-free flour based desserts that haven't tasted a bit different than normal, but these things were really bad. I think there's a market for a place like this and I hope it continues to do well, certainly the reviews show that most everyone loves it. I'm happy about that. Me? I don't know if I would return on a regular basis. Although there is a military discount, portions are tiny, the desserts are hit and miss, and it's expensive for what you get. It would make more sense to drive across the bridge to shop at Publix. However, if you are just walking around in the area and looking for a quick bite, I can see how vacationers would swing by here and really love it. It does put corn dogs and pizza in their respective (low) places.

The food is fresh organic and delicious. We had the California wraps, Asian salad and shrimp skewer. Had the detox smoothie as well. One of the best fresh salads and smoothie I have had. Sad we don't have something like this where I live!!! It's worth a try a hidden gem amidst an ocean of fried everything !!!

  • Natalie Y.

What a gem! Amazing! Fabulous! Delicious! I was thrilled to find such a delicious, organic restaurant and market in a small beach community. I have visited this restaurant/market numerous times (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert 'to go' so I didn't have to make one at home for my dinner guests, espresso on several occasions, and the beach pops). Everything has been fantastic! It's hard to find a place like this in many larger cities. Pensacola Beach is lucky to have a place like this! Some reviews indicate the prices can be high on some items. I totally disagree. When I first visited here, I couldn't believe how cheap the prices are given that it is all organic and that it is located in a beach community - where one would typically find higher prices. You can eat here for the same, sometimes less, cost than most of the other beach restaurants. And, all the ingredients here are HEALTHY! I often shop at the market here too. Open year round! I highly recommend it.

It's so hard to find a good place to eat while you're traveling. I had a trip to Pensacola for a race and although the restaurant portion was closed, we went in for the desserts. Gluten free, organic, vegan and even raw options? I'm in heaven. And they tasted like HEAVEN!! To top it off, we even got a $10 bottle of organic wine. Lynn helped us pick one out and even opened it and got us glasses. Would love to come here everyday.

  • Perry G.

Absolute ripoff. $26 for 2 wraps. No problem paying more for organic but 1 piece of cheese and 1 oz of chicken doesn't cut it. It was no more than $3 worth of food on a wrap costing $13. Good luck.

This place is an awesome break from the general greasy/seafood/overpriced fare that most other places offer. Their veggies and meats were FRESH and delicious. We discovered this place a day before we left and I am sad that we did not eat here every day that we were staying here! Highly recommended!

This place is so wonderful and a great option with all the crappy, unhealthy food in the Pensacola Beach area. There were so many things to chose from on this healthy menu. We got the Capri pizzetta and shared a variety of raw desserts. All were great and I wish I could have tried more items. If I am ever back in the area I will definitely come back and I highly recommend this place!

Just like everyone says, this is a great little gem at the beach. Do your body a favor and have something healthy. They've got salads, wraps, sandwiches, soups, smoothies, drinks, baked goodies, ice cream etc. All natural, organic and healthy. Great stop for lunch or snack!

I was really excited to try this place on a quiet Sunday afternoon. However, the service was shockingly slow and rude - not at all what you expect from a place devoted to health and well being.

Healthy food with a twist. Love this place! It is our normal stop when we are vacationing here in pensacola! The owner goes out of her way to accommodate you! It's a must try place!

Super healthy AND yummy! First visit and I went with the frozen banana soft serve with chocolate and peanut butter....delish! It's a bit pricey, but worth it for a healthy snack. I'll definitely be back to try lunch or dinner!

Fantastic sandwich, great beach pops, awesome wine, small selection but best healthy food groceries around.
